1. Program Description

Program Name: UniteGPS School Transportation Alerts

Program Description: UniteGPS enables school districts to send SMS text message notifications to parents and guardians regarding school transportation, including but not limited to bus arrival times, route changes, delays, weather-related schedule changes, and safety alerts. Messages are informational only and are sent on behalf of the recipient's school district.

Who sends the messages

Messages are sent by UniteGPS on behalf of participating school districts. UniteGPS does not send marketing or promotional messages through this program.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on school district activity and transportation events. Districts control when and how often messages are sent. A typical recipient may receive several messages per week during the school year, with additional messages during delays, route changes, or emergencies.

4. Message & Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier will apply to any messages you receive or send as part of this program. UniteGPS does not charge recipients for SMS notifications.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Opt-Out & Help

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. After you send STOP, we will send you one final SMS confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive SMS messages from the program.

To re-subscribe, reply START to the same number or contact your school district administrator.

For help, reply HELP to any message or contact us using the support information below.

District administrators can also manually remove a parent or guardian from SMS communications within the UniteGPS platform at any time.

6. Support Contact

Phone: (207) 591-7777

7. Privacy & Data Sharing

Phone numbers collected for SMS purposes are used solely for school transportation communication and are never sold, rented, or used for any unrelated communication.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

SMS messages are delivered through a third-party communications provider. Phone numbers are shared with this provider solely for the purpose of delivering messages and are contractually prohibited from use for any other purpose.
