DRAFT Letter from School District to Parents

Purpose: This letter is intended to be sent from a school district to parents to provide advance information about the upcoming release of the UniteGPS Parent App. The application provides parents a way to monitor the real time location of their student’s school bus.

Dear Parents,

________ School District has partnered with UniteGPS to provide families up-to-date bus tracking via your mobile device, tablet or home/office computer. This service is available to all families with students traveling scheduled bus routes to and from school each day. All route details are displayed on your cellular phone or computer interface, with updates every five seconds. You must establish an account to activate this service.

For security reasons the solution is provided by invitation and is not available through Google Play or iTunes. Parents that provided the district their email address will receive an email invitation from unitegps13@unitegps.com in the next 48 hours. If you do not receive the email, please check your spam folder.

The app runs on any device with a web browser and includes the ability to have an icon link on your home screen just like a downloadable app. The email also includes a link to a video providing an overview of the solution.
